My bird paintings typically involve recognizable birds along with an abstract or patterned element, in order to increase the decorative or symbolic value of the composition. I love combining a more realistic element along with something fun and creative and highly unique. I am most interested in painting local birds, as I can more easily feel a connection to these birds and to love to see them both outdoors and then indoors on my canvas.
